BARN INFORMATION 

The Canterbury Park backside ranks among the finest in the country, offering a variety of services to horsemen. The stable area has 33 barns and 1620 stalls. There are more than 200 dormitory rooms and ample shower facilities for the horsemen's convenience.

Both the dirt and turf surfaces were constructed with an emphasis on safety and consistency. The one-mile oval is composed of both natural soil and sand. The seven-furlong turf course includes a mixture of Kentucky bluegrass and rye over a native sandy topsoil.

The Administration Building located on the backside houses the racing office, track kitchen, HBPA office, game room, chaplain's office, and laundry facility. The track kitchen is open from 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM each day. The Racing Office will open at 8:00 AM on entry days with entries closing at 10:30 AM.

Trainers, be sure to nominate your grooms for 'Groom of the Week' through the HBPA office. Each Sunday the winning groom will receive a Canterbury Park jacket and a check from the HBPA in a Winner's Circle presentation.
