I received the message below from The Oracle the day after Dialed In broke his maiden. He thought enough of the colt to have him at 35-1 in a vegas future wager. Even that isn’t a huge price five months out.
Those that bet Dialed In in the Derby Future Pool 3 prior to the Florida Derby were dismayed as they watched the odds plummet in the final seven minutes before the pool closed. The odds went from 10-1 before the Florida Derby to 5-1 when it closed.
Saw a first time starter 2yo from the Zito barn run on Friday at Churchill named Dialed In. Broke last, had trouble early, came through traffic on the turn, shifted out when a horse lugged out in front of him at the 16th pole and drew away late to win with something left. Son of Mineshaft, I would keep an eye on this one he looked like a quality colt as Zito rarely wins first out. Probably will see him at Gulfstream in a few months gearing up for the Derby trail if he stays healthy…I’m bullish
