EXPLORING THE TRACK

PADDOCK

Before every race, watch the horses get saddled and listen to the paddock analyst give last-minute tips and plays as the horses head to the track. For a great overview, view the paddock from our 2nd level outdoor balcony. From there, you have a great view of the flowerbed shaped in the state of Minnesota.

FINISH LINE

The red and white striped pole is an iconic staple of any racetrack. If your horse can make it here first more often than not, you’re in for a good day at the races.

WINNER'S CIRCLE

Following every race, the winning horse and jockey are led to the Mystic Lake Winner’s Circle to smile for the cameras. Of course, before the race, keep your eyes on the Winner’s Circle for the Buglers ‘Call to the Post’ as the horses enter the track.

TOTEBOARD

The infield ‘toteboard’ is the central location for viewing betting odds, winning payouts and racing information throughout the day. Of course, you can see the odds and payouts on TVs throughout the building as well.

BETTING WINDOWS & MACHINES

You can place bets with live bet takers or at self-service machines. Don’t get confused by the historic racing terminology … bet takers are called “Mutuel Tellers” and self-service machines are referred to as SAM Machines. Hey, learning new terms is part of the fun! Don’t worry … the betting process is easy.

MVP / INFORMATION BOOTH

Be sure to stop by the 1st level information center. There, you can sign up for an MVP card, making you eligible to earn points and receive daily admission discounts. Plus, the helpful staff can answer any questions you may have about racing, wagering, the best places to eat and more.

BUD LIGHT PARTY DECK

The Bud Light Party Deck is your spot for outdoor Bud Light fun. Sit and enjoy a drink while watching the races from above. Located on the 2nd level next to Longshots.

CASINO

Canterbury Park’s first level Casino is home to Minnesota’s widest variety of table games and is dealing action 24/7. Try your hand at Blackjack, Texas Hold’em and more. The Casino is open year-round, so you can play cards in comfort even when the horses aren’t in session.

GAME ON ARCADE

Arcade games and attractions are available during the live racing season. Enjoy traditional games to claw crane games and more! Stop by to test your skills today.

LUCKY'S GIFT SHOP

Check out all of the Canterbury Park gear, souvenirs, and more at Lucky’s Gift Shop located on the 1st floor. Whether you are looking for a gift for someone special or just something to remember your time at the races, there’s something for everyone!
