Nolan featured on KARE 11
Jockey Paul Nolan got off to a good start on opening weekend winning three races including the meet’s first stake, the $50,000 Shot of Gold, for trainer Jamie Ness and Web Gems Stable. Nolan had fifteen mounts. He was featured on the 6PM news on KARE 11 Tuesday. Reporter Dave Schwartz, a horse racing fan himself, was on the backside Tuesday to interview the veteran rider.

Ry Eikleberry to return to CanterburyJockey Ry Eikleberry is expected to return to Shakopee next week. Currently stationed at Sunray Park in New Mexico, he will finish up there this weekend and make his way north. Turf Paradise leading trainer Keith Bennett has offered Ry an opportunity to ride first call for his 45-horse stable. “When you’re given the opportunity to ride for a barn like Keith’s, you’ve got to go,” Eikleberry said.
