The tournament:
The You Want In Satellite Handicapping Contest is a one-day handicapping contest. One player for each 10 entries will be awarded two $500 entries to the XpressBet BCBC Qualifier on June 21. 2025.
Total cost per entry is $100.
Contest play begins no earlier than 1 pm central time.
Format:
Players will select one horse in each of 10 designated races and will earn points based on a mythical $20 across the board wager. Entries, with all selections, must be submitted prior to the first contest race. No changes are permitted after the contest begins.
Points are capped as follows: 600 win; 400 place; 200 show. All selections must be submitted prior to post time of the first contest race. Entrants will receive the post time favorite should a scratch occur.
Order of contest finish will be determined by final score and prizes will be awarded as follows:
One player for each 10 entries will win two $500 entries to June 21 online contest.
1-10 entries: one winner of two $500 entries.
15 entries: one winner of two $500 entries; one winner of one $500 entry
20 entries: two winners of two $500 entries.
25 entries: two winners of two $500 entries; one winner of one $500 entry
30 entries: three winners of two $500 entries.
35 entries: three winners of two $500 entries; one winner of one $500 entry
Additional entries totals will be paid in the same manner.
Cash from additional entry fees not assigned as entry prizes will be paid as follows:
1st) 50 percent
2nd) 30 percent
3rd) 20 percent
Canterbury Handicapper of the Year Points: winner: 3 points; 2nd: 2 points; 3rd: 1 point
No player may have more than five entries.
