Canterburylive.com continues to follow the trek of three local handicappers as they try to advance to the National Handicapping Championship held in January 2017. Saturday was a satellite contest that would reward the top five players with entry to the Sept. 10-11 Dog Days, itself a feeder to the NHC. There was also a cash prize for sixth. Bruce Meyer and Mike Ferrozzo finished top five. Dave Handeland finished seventh.
The winner was Ray Davis. He won a satellite earlier this year as well as top placings in several super satellites and is a top the leader board in Canterbury’s Handicapper of the Year contest.
Super satellite contests are held each week.
