Even Thunder, a two-time winner at Canterbury this summer including a four-length victory in the $75,000 Shakopee Juvenile Stakes, is favored in Friday’s $100,000 King’s Swan at Aqueduct.  The King’s Swan is a six furlong sprint for 2-year-olds that has attracted a short field of five. Even Thunder, who owns the largest Beyer Speed Figure in the field, is 9 to 5 on the morning line.

He was previously trained by Dan McFarlane and owned by Michael Barro but now is conditioned by Joseph Orseno for owner Leonard Green. Even Thunder will be ridden by Jose Ortiz on Friday in the third race on the card with a 12:18 p.m. central post time.

Even Thunder twice faced Line Judge at Canterbury beating him in a maiden race and running second in the Careless Navigator.  Line Judge went on to win the $200,000 Lafitte Stakes at Delta Downs before running ninth in the $1 million Delta Jack pot on Nov. 19.
